About Steven Lee
After a twelve-year career in academia that culminated in a three-year tenure as associate professor tutoring at Sydney University, Steven Lee chose to follow his passion as full-time private tutor of Maths and Sciences to high school students.
Since then he has built an exemplary record of tutoring success, with his students regularly achieving exceptional results and exam marks.

After working part-time for several years as a freelance private tutor and in several well-known tutoring colleges, Steven Lee left academia to join Elite Tutoring College full-time in 2007 as head maths and sciences tutor at their Burwood branch.
Seven successful years later, he parted company with ETC and opened his own tutoring academy, at the same location. The two centres worked alongside each other for six more years, assisting each other whenever necessary to optimise their ability to provide top-level tutoring for their students.
In 2020 the Covid pandemic saw both Steven and Elite Tutoring College leave their Burwood base and shift their operations online, where they each have remained to this day. In the years since, both Steven Lee's tutoring academy and Elite Tutoring College have independently continued to grow and expand their student bases online.
At the outset of 2025, the two centres once again joined forces. Steven Lee Academy was created as a division of Elite Tutoring College, with the undertaking to provide top-level maths and sciences tutoring to students online.

Gloria Kaneko is the original founder of Elite Tutoring College, which she established in 2005 as a centre through which to tutor high school HSC students Japanese language. She very quickly not only built her own Japanese student base, but grew the college as a whole by hiring additional tutors to offer students quality tuition in most popular HSC subjects.
Elite Tutoring College has continued to grow to this day, albeit as an online college only after vacating its two physical locations, in Burwood and Chatswood, following the outbreak of the Covid pandemic.
Gloria's wealth of experience in both tutoring and running a tutoring college positions her as an ideal point of contact for students at Steven Lee Academy. She is able to provide invaluable advice and guidance to students regarding their schooling. With her background in psychology and her positive, motivational nature, she can also provide support and guidance to students needing help with self-esteem, self-motivation, developing a positive mindset, building mental strength, goal-setting, and so on.
